The Role
What you'll do
We are looking for a curious, problem-solving, and execution-focused Software / Backend Engineering Intern who understands that great engineering is about building reliable systems that solve real problems.
This role is for someone who enjoys thinking logically, writing clean code, and continuously learning. You'll work closely with Product, Design, and Operations to build, improve, and maintain the systems that power Builders' Tribe's products and internal tools.
Whether you're fixing bugs, building APIs, or improving existing services, you'll be expected to think beyond the code and understand the users and business behind every feature.

- Build and maintain backend services and APIs
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code
- Assist in integrating third-party services and APIs

- Contribution to product improvements and technical discussions
Who we're looking for
The right fit
Must-Have
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, PHP, etc.)
- Understanding of APIs and backend architecture
- Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
- Basic understanding of Git and version control
- Strong problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Familiarity with Docker or containerisation
- Understanding of authentication and security concepts
- Experience building personal or academic projects
